#911 Fall Weather, Crisping of leaves under feet and the mellowing of summer sun, Pulling up a cover and sipping on something to warm you up. Colors have the same effect on me and Even tho this is based in orange pulling in reds and browns seem to add the right spice to make me croon. Exterior in a deep persimmon intricate jacquard weave in silver grey, large front pocket in a plaid I would wear any day. It makes me smile

And an underlying thought comes to mind as this bag is number 911 and this fabric was not chosen at random, I love the overlay of this silver grey woven jacquard print it makes the fabric background color almost disappear, the imagery aside from obvious chaos what was strong in my mind and what sticks were the countless pictures of individuals, things and shop displays miles away that were covered in a layer of dust.

Luxurana #910 Throwback

#910 Throwback, this bag has two different fabrics on the front and back, it is a total throwback as to the first generation of how I started out making Luxurana bags. the large front pocket is the back exterior of the bag. and to tell the truth is an almost exact match of a fabric I had asked my grandma if I cold have from her stash. I never did get that particular piece. However when this piece came to me I was so reminiscent I the fabric it took my breath away and immediately took my memories down to her basement, down a narrow jam packed array of things and in a draw was a folded piece of large weave turquoise threads. This is why I love scraps and pieces of fabric that come to me. And yet even If I don't find a memory on any give day when sewing they always make me smile.

Luxurana #909 Plush Green Apple

#909 Plush Green Apple, Soft textiles in bags is all the rage this Fall season so this is the first of several likely non consecutive bags I have planned in the next few weeks. A vibrant color in a plush fabric makes it so fun, the small white pocket is also so velvety you just want to put your special business cards or favorite lipstick in it. Interior is in a grey background with floral print. It makes me want to wander through an apple orchard and have a slice of pie. It makes me smile.

#908 Didn't Look Back, the grand two year adventure my son is on in Mexico really just started with the conversation before I even took him to the airport, I asked If I should lurk and watch him traverse the security line and he said No Mom! So as a hug and a bye took a mere moment off he went and he didn't look back, focused on the bright adventure of new language and celebrations and witness sorrows of people he will serve and teach. I love this bag that rounds out a series using a fabric straight from Mexico. It pulls at the heart strings and yet makes me smile.

#907 Cuppa, The magic of facebook is other people and there vacations or the expressions of things they love on vacation. This little cuppa whatever evoked love for my cousins wife as he trotted his little family to Italy and Rome for 2 weeks to see her family roots there. all the smiles for sharing the the feels and oodles of photos. In this bag there are iron work looking patterns in the handles and old prints, but modern twists that are common. the fun circles add that whimsy of drink deep a cuppa something and take you bake to any table and smile. antique gold brushed statuary bronze color vinyl exterior makes me smile when ever I see it gleam in even the lowest light. interior in scrolling floral. it makes me smile
